Movies Watched, April 2017

April was an interesting month. I seemed to pick up my pace but definitely not pushing it. I worked on several old movies, which are lovely. Also, it was a month of foreign movies as I watched five of them -- well, Naruto was dubbed. Was that count? Two French, two Japanese, and one Korean. I always forgot how feel-good Japanese movies are. I managed to watch the long awaited Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 and I love it. In other note, I rewatched and finally watched some of last year's blockbusters. It was a pretty quiet month but I like it.

April 1st to April 30th. Total: 20 movies

  1. Source Code (2011) - gold. Forever gold.
  2. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) - upped the rating to 3 stars because I enjoyed it this time.
  3. Terms of Endearment (1983)
  4. Star Trek Beyond (2016)
  5. Legal Eagles (1986)
  6. Ghostbusters (2016) - fun! Nostalgically fun!
  7. The Frighteners (1996) - the FX aged rather well.
  8. Tales of the Night (2011) - French movie!
  9. Need for Speed (2014)
  10. Blade: Trinity (2004)
  11. Doctor Strange (2016) - I think I watched this three times in April just because it kind of fits to my condition right now. It calms me a lot.
  12. Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Lost Tower (2010)
  13. Kirikou and the Men and Women (2012) - another French movie
  14. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
  15. Tomorrowland (2015)
  16. Pride & Prejudice (2005)
  17. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2* (2017) - technicolor bonkers!
  18. Evergreen Love (2016)
  19. Canola (2016) - I cried so so hard. What a tearjerker
  20. Miss Congeniality (2000)

Movies marked with an asterisk were watched in cinema. For a full list please go ahead to my Letterboxd. Also, for a real-time update, hop on to my diary where I (might) wrote slightly longer review on the movie. Here's my list for January, February, and March.

Thank you so much for your comments on my last post.  It was heartwarming and, to be honest, I don't know how to reply the immense understanding everyone wrote without turning into a puddle of goo. My heart feels so warm and it lifted all the baggage I have since the start of this year. Things still not looking up but I tried not to stress about it. I spent my days reading my fave comics and new The Little Book of Hygge from Natalie. It's been raining so much lately and I love to spend my time reading it. I also started to go out with friends again after holing myself up for a good month or walking alone. Inexplicably, I still feel uneasy with others, I'm still reluctant to share with people in real life -- see the previous post, but I think I can manage for now.

Have you seen any of these movies? Any movie you're looking forward in May? I'm so going to watch King Arthur!

Drop me a nice one (+ cupcakes. Pretty please?)
